The meeting called to order at 1:02 PM by Chairman Ray Lenz.

Self-Introductions:

October Meeting Minutes were read by Chris Gunnufsen.

Committee Reports(s):

Treasurer's Report was given by Treasurer Kim Beeman.
Disbursements and receipts:
The meeting for month of October, held on Oct 11th was sponsored and paid for directly
by Jeff Holenrid of Double Radius Systems. There were no expenses for the October meeting.
There have been no receipts for October.
Balance in Chapter Accounts:
Checking: $4,153.67
Petty Cash: $269.05
Total Chapter Assets: $4,422.72

SBE National: Discussion included Microphones white space, TV spectrum consolidation,
50th anniversary, IT and Broadcast roles, and Engineering society Consolidation.
Committee was convened to study a potential Name change for SBE. Large discussion on the
Engineer of the year award. Information was discussed on the Ethics issues and potential
nominations to start from local chapter then percolate to National for the award.
Budget approved for National SBE
Discussion on the amnesty program, AM improvements and reclamation of Spectrum, by the FCC.
National General Consuel, Chris Imlay to oversee.

EAS: Nothing to report

Certification: Richard Dyer will be proctoring an up coming exam.

Frequency Coordination: Gary Becknell reported Hampton University will be using BAS channel
temporarily as a point to point link.

Web: Ted Hand is working with Gary Becknell to update the Frequency Coordination and general
updates to the web site. Chris will get with Ted to update the certification and membership
information on the Web site.

Membership: Chris Gunnufsen volunteered to take over the membership chair position from Richard Dyer.
Chris Reports on additional new member.

New Business: Summary of upcoming Presenters – Ray Lenz.
Bill Lenz will Present on Optical Fiber in December.
Rich Gebhart- Dialight will present on LED Tower Lightning in January.
Joe Husnay from the FCC will present on HOT FCC Topics in February.
Gwenn Tune with Digital Rapids will present on file normalization and transcoding.
