Location: WHRO Studios, Norfolk, VA

The meeting called to order at 1:10 PM by Program Chairman Chris Gunnufsen.

Self-Introductions:

August Meeting Minutes were read by Secretary Billy Harrison.

Committee Reports(s):

Treasurer’s Report was given by Treasurer Raymond Lenz.
Balance in Chapter Accounts:
Checking: $2,890.50
Certificate of Deposit: $1,956.50
Petty Cash: $269.05
Disbursements and receipts:
A check for the amount of $204.88 was written to Orapax to cover the cost of lunch for “A Taste of NAB”. A check for the amount of 198.19 was written to Orapax to cover the cost of the August meeting. $16.36 was paid to Krogers for drinks.
A check was received from Larry Bloomfield in the amount of $204.88 to pay for the “Taste of NAB” lunch. A check was received from John Heinke at DVG in the amount of 198.19 to pay for the July lunch and a Money Order was received from Pat Hamp in the amount of $200.42 to pay for the June lunch.
The check for the amount of $204.88 from Larry Bloomfield was returned because of a stop payment order resulting from a change in bank accounts. A replacement check is being sent and should be here next week. Larry is very apologetic for this problem.
Total Chapter Assets: $5,116.05

Nominations for October elections:
Chris Gunnufsen Nominated Charles Stutsman for Chairman.
Vice Chairman nominee - Marlon Baskerville/WGNT.
Secretary nominee – Billy Harrison/WAVY-WVBT.
Treasurer nominee – Ray Lenz/WHRO/WHRV-FM.
Chris Gunnufsen will send out ballots for the October elections.

SBE National: SBE National Elections were held. Ted Hand is National Secretary.

EAS: Nothing to report.

Certification: Exam dates and locations are on the SBE National and SBE54.org website.

Frequency Coordination: Hampton City Schools Friday Night Football microwave information
is on the SBE54.org site under "FREQ COORD".

Web: Web Hosting is moving to WHRO.

Membership: 60 plus members. Discussion on how to get more members to attend meetings.

Digital Transition: Nothing to report.

Program: Doug Davidson presented JVC HD Cameras.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:20 pm.
