Checking: $2812.82
Certificate of Deposit: $1,858.90
Petty Cash: $386.70
Disbursements: Checkcard purchase in the amount of $200.28 made to Pollards for the October lunch. Received a check from Azcar in the amount of $75.00 for sustaining membership.
Total Chapter assets: $5,058.42

Financial audit was completed on Tuesday November 11th 2008. John Heimerl, Ray Lenz and Russell Taylor performed the audit. No discrepancies where found.

SBE National: Ted Hand attened the SBE national meeting in Madison, WI and accepted the chapter awards for Best Chapter Web Site.

EAS: Nothing to report.

Certification: November is closed. February 2009 certification registration closes December 31.

Frequency Coordination: Nothing to report

Web: Azcar was added to the home page banner and the sponsor page. The sponsor page has been changed to show all vendors at once.

Membership: Nothing to report

Digital Transition: Discussion from Keith O’Malley on the possibility of VAB (Virginia Association of Broadcasters) doing a test shutdown of analog for the state.

New Business: Vote was taken to make Chris Gunnufsen will become the program Chair. Kevin Thompson and John Heinke will be Vice chairs for programs. Chris will coordinate the efforts of Vice Chairs Kevin Thompson and John Heinke. The goal is to have a minimum of 6 months of presenters with meeting notices being distributed well in advance so member can schedule meetings.

Chris Gunnufsen will also send out a members (names only) list to all members. Chris asked that all members review the list and see if there are engineers or other potential members that we might need to be added to the email distribution for meeting notices.

Program: Bob Bush from Evertz did a presentation on 3G routing and distribution. Bob covered SDI HDSDI and 1080P 3G delivery over coax and fiber products focusing on strengths and weaknesses of each.
