Treasurer Report: Balances in chapter accounts:
Checking: $3,140.75
Certificate of Deposit: $1,858.90
Petty Cash: $386.70
Disbursements: Checkcard purchase in the amount of $202.71 made to Orapax for August lunch.
Received a check from the Whitlock Group in the amount of $75.00 for renewal of sustaining membership.
Total Chapter assets: $5,386.35

SBE National: Ted Hand elected SBE National Secretary.
The FCC wireless microphone frequency change is on the SBE National webpage http://www.sbe.org
RF Saftey web seminar to be held 9/18/08 http://www.sbe.org/pub_sc.php#RFSAFETY

EAS: Nothing to report.

Certification: September 19 is the deadline to register for the November exam.

Frequency Coordination: UNC 7GHZ link to COX cable.

Web: Nothing to report.

Membership: Chapter 54 membership has increased this year.

Digital Transition: 2GHZ transition extended to March 5, 2009.
Wilmington, NC stations ceased analog programming at 12 noon on Sept. 8th.

Other Business: Charles Stutsman read the nominees to be voted on.

Program: The Whitlock Group demonstrated Sony XD Cam products.
