Self-Introductions

Committee Reports(s):

Treasurer: Russell Taylor reported the following:
Checking: $2,915.54
Certificate of Deposit: $1,790.75
Petty Cash: $282.74
Disbursements: Check 1090 in the amount of $257.64 written to WHRO for December lunch. Received a check from the Whitlock Group for $257.64 for December lunch. Total Chapter Assets: $4,989.03

SBE National: Ted Hand will be attending the SBE executive meeting in Las Vegas. Will update at next meeting.

EAS: Keith O’Malley is no longer the EAS person for the chapter. Responsibilities will fall to Paul Campell. Early Warning Siren System Test Set for Surry Power Station Dec 13 at approx 11:10 a.m.

Certification: Bill Swartz not present. Next exam dates are Feb 9-19. The application deadline was Dec 29. Applications for the April 17 exam at NAB Las Vegas must be submitted not later than March 2.

Web: Ted Hand not present. Updated all pages to “Copyright 1999-2007”, added to meeting schedule page, updated officers’ page, and updated certification page.

Frequency Coordination: WSKY-TV has pulled down the Virginia Beach to Moyock and the Moyock to Mamie 7Ghz paths, Chesapeake (Greenbrier) to Camden, NC path is now up. Their main tower is located in Camden county.

Membership: Richard Dyer present. Nothing to report.

Digital Transition: Will begin sometime in Feb.

New Business: Interest in Wiki Blog for engineering concerns, possibility of additional forums. Chris will send out e-mail with more information.

Program: Jim Jensen of Panasonic presented information on P2 Video Acquisition Systems. (Non-linear)
