Chapter 54 Meeting Minutes

Call to order: Call to order at 1:20 by Chairman, Chris Gunnefsun followed by self introductions.

Committee Reports:

Secretary: Secretary, Billy Harrison read the October minutes.

Treasurer: Russell Taylor reported

Certificate of Deposit: $1,790.75
Petty Cash: $406.70

Disbursements: Check card purchase in the amount of $151.42 made to Pollard's for October lunch. Received a total of $80.00 in cash from October lunch collection. Check #1098 in the amount of $202.92 written to Ted Hand for reimbursement of hotel expense attending the National SBE meeting in Pittsburgh. Received a check in the amount of $151.42 from Clearcom for September lunch. Total Chapter assets: $4948.00

SBE National: Chris Gunnefsun reported that Ted Hand atteneded SBE national conference.

Certification: No report

Membership: Nothing

Frequency Coordination: John Heimrel WHRO applied with the FCC for 5 FM frequencies across the eastern Virginia area to expand the WHRV-FM signal for homeland security purposes.

Digital Transmission Committee: No report

Other Business: An audit of the chapter finances was conducted by Keith O'Malley, Charles Stutsman, Chris Gunnefsun, Russell Taylor and Billy Harrison. Everthing balanced out fine to the penny.

CD renewal was discussed and Russell Taylor is going to look into what renewal options are available.

Program:Peter Florance of audio services in VA Beach disscussed ROHS which is a hazardous material standard in electronic equipment. He discussed using different types of solder that contain no lead. Audio Services: 757-498-8277, Audio-Services web site
