Treasurer: Russell Taylor reported the following:
Checking: $2,700.99
Certificate of Deposit: $1,790.75
Petty Cash: $282.74
Disbursements: Check 1092 in the amount of $302.24 written to WHRO for February lunch.
Received a check from the Whitlock Group in the amount of $302.24 for February lunch.
Total Chapter Assets: $4,774.48

SBE National: Ennes Workshop at NAB on April 14, 2007. NAB will be held in Las Vegas on April 14-19. Yearly membership dues of $63.00 are due by April 1.

EAS: Tornado drill set for March 13 at 9:00 AM. Surry test set for March 14 at 11:10 AM. Further information is available at www.vdem.state.va.us. EAS encoder update information for daylight savings time is available at www.sbe.org.

Certification: Bill Swartz not present. Nothing to report

Web: Chapter has been nominated for the "Best Chapter Web Site" for 2006. Still no EAS schedule information.

Frequency Coordination: Chapter has been nominated for the "Best Frequency Coordination Effort (Class B)" for 2006. No one has contacted Ted Hand with a FC request since last meeting.

Membership: Richard Dyer was not present. Nothing to report.

Digital Transition: Wiki Blog is up. It will launch on the 3rd week of March. Proposed meeting time for Digital Transition committee is one hour before SBE meeting. .

Other Business:

Donna Porter has resigned as Chapter 54 secretary. Russell Taylor nominated Richard Dyer for Chapter secretary. Members present elected Richard Dyer as Chapter secretary.

The Whitlock Group will be hosting the Convergence 2007 show at the Chesapeake Conference Center on March 22, 2007 and at the Richmond Convention Center on March 20, 2007.

Program: Mike Fazzi from Communications Specialities Inc. spoke on fiber technology, installation of fiber, and fiber characteristics.
