Chapter 54 Meeting Notes: December 2005

Minutes of the monthly meetings are provided here for the convenience of those unable to attend the meetings, and are not to be considered official Chapter records. Meeting called to order at 1:09 PM by Chairman Chris Gunnufsen

Self-introductions

The business part of the meeting was going to be suspened because we did not have a quorum, but a fifth member walked in at 1:15. So normal business was conducted.

November minutes were read by Vice-Chairman Ted Hand.

Committee Report(s):

Treasurer: Frank Butler was not present but did send in the following report... Checking: $2,681.10, Certificate of Deposit: $1,735.00, Petty Cash: $226.74. Total Chapter assets: $4,642.84.
Disbursements: Check number 1073, WHRO for November Lunch. Check number 1074 to Ted Hand for certificate frames.

SBE National: Ted Hand had no news to report.

EAS: Keith O'Malley was not present.

Certification: Bill Swartz was not present, the February 2006 test deadline has changed to December 20th, not December 30th.

Web: Ted Hand reported updates needed in the Frequency Coordination page and would be done by Dec 31.

Frequency Coordination: Ted Hand reported problems with Aural STL between WHRO/WHRV and WRJR/WTJZ, it was worked out. There were also issues with WGH/WVBW and WYRM-AM, WYRM is unlicense and changed to a backup unit without letting anybody know about it. They have shutdown and using telco until fixed.

Membership: Richard Dyer was not present.

Program: Doug Davison was present. No information on 2006 programs.

Chris Gunnufsen explain the schedule that Gary Sgrignoli has available for 2006 for his 8VSB Measurement seminar. Ted Hand made a motion to hold the meeting on March 16, 2006 at WHRO studios. John Henike seconded it. A vote was taken and approved.
