April minutes approved.

Committee Report(s):

Treasurer: Frank: $1,725.22 in checking; $2,117.17 in CD; $226.74 cash on hand: TOTAL-$4,121.93

Freq. Coordinator: Ted: Nextel – July 7th Breakout meetings held. Chief Engineers, General Managers, News Directors encouraged to attend.

SBE National: Chapter nominated for two awards: Best Frequency Coordination Effort and Best Chapter Web Site. Ted Hand nominated to run for national Board of Directors.

EAS: Keith: Virginia E.O.C. conducting weekly tests to check response times.

Certification: Bill Swartz: June 5th: 2 people taking tests.

Program: Doug Davidson: June – DMT; August – Pro Bell.

Discussion on DTV seminar: $3,500 fee. Attempt to get sponsors to offset costs. Text is $35 (575 pages) + $10 enrollment fee (2 breaks and lunch). Total around $40 - $60 per person (book included).

Discussion on moving date to September. Solicit other chapters in region for greater turnout. September date schedules around other family oriented events in area.

Motion passed to bring event to area and to get input on September date.
